Youngs gastro meal-for-one

Young’s Seafood has expanded its £20.9m Gastro frozen fish meals brand with a meal-for-one range.

Rolling out to the major multiples and Ocado this week, the launch was a response to growing interest in premium frozen ready meals, said Young’s marketing director Yvonne Adam.

The range, which can be baked in 45 minutes or cooked in a microwave in less than 10, comprises: cod, spinach & cheese gratin; pink salmon, Alaskan pollock & cherry tomato bake; and Alaskan pollock, white wine and Parmesan risotto (all rsp: £2.49).

The launch will be supported by multichannel promotional activity and TV ads. Further variants are being planned.
