Sainsbury’s has extended its trial of a new trolley for disabled children to a further store.

The chain is reviewing the design of its current trolley, which is in around 400 stores, and has been trialling a new design featuring a seat that has a five-point harness at its Upper Norwood store.

The trolley is now also being tested at its Crawley store after a mother wrote to her local paper about the difficulties she faced shopping with her autistic son.
