Tesco staff are to get a starring role in its new advertising campaign, which launches on Sunday under the strapline ‘Love Every Mouthful’.

The retailer has developed the new campaign with agency W+K, with the aim of bringing across its “passion for food”.

Love Every Mouthful launches with television ads, before a press and digital campaign kicks off on Monday, supported by cinema, out of home, print, and social media.

The TV advert features Tesco staff from across the UK talking about their favourite foods and recipes and what they grow in their gardens and allotments, as well as appearances from some of the retailer’s suppliers.

Tesco's Love Every Mouthful campaign

Tesco’s Love Every Mouthful campaign kicks off on Sunday with the aim of showing its “passion for food”

“So much care goes into the food we eat, from growing to picking, to choosing, to packing and tasting,” said Tesco’s UK marketing director David Wood. “We want to share our passion for food.”

The campaign will push the Twitter hashtag #loveeverymouthful while there will be announcements on the company’s Facebook page. Tesco added it would be giving out recipe tips as part of the push.

The Grocer reported on Tuesday that Tesco had unveiled elements of its new campaign internally, as it canvassed ideas from staff on their own food passions.
