Foster’s agony uncles Brad & Dan return to TV tomorrow (1 February) – this time giving advice to a Brit with a hairy back.

‘John from Norwich’ asks the duo if he should wax his back before going on holiday. The Aussie advisors dismiss the idea and assure him that “some of the greatest men in history, including Julius Caesar and Bill Shakespeare, had backs a kookaburra could nest in”. They then pronounce that waxing is for cars.

“The new execution is built around the insight that personal grooming and appearance plays an important part in the lives of Foster’s drinkers,” said Foster’s brand manager Nic Casby.

In December, one of Foster’s Brad & Dan ads came second in The Grocer’s analysis of the most entertaining and memorable ads of 2011, part of the 2011 Top Products Survey.
