Lidl to sell ‘high-end’ Royal china

Lidl is launching a set of fine-quality bone china to commemorate this month's Royal Wedding.

The discounter has secured a deal with Royal Worcester to design the mug and plate, which will be decorated in the UK. The items will make Lidl the only supermarket to sell high-end Royal Wedding memorabilia, it claimed.

"We wanted to produce a quintessentially British line," said a spokeswoman for Lidl, which will also be selling commemorative Champagne flutes.
