What was your first-ever job? I worked as a Saturday girl in a Mansfield shoe shop from the age of 15.

What’s been your worst job interview? An interview for a category management role for Heineken. I shouldn’t have bothered as I had already decided I didn’t want to leave my old job so didn’t try and put my best foot forward and it wasted a day’s holiday.

What was the first music single you bought? Rivers of Babylon by Boney M, on 7”.

How do you describe your job to your mates? I run a family-owned natural health & beauty business. There are lots of different things always going on - my mates love trying out our new products. My kids tell people mummy bosses people about all day.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Giving a boost to one of the team by saying ‘well done’.

What is the least rewarding part? My commute! The journey around the M60/M62 is the worst part of my job by far.

What is your motto in life? Don’t stay in a job you don’t enjoy. Plus a glass of Prosecco always helps if you have had a tough day at work!

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? I do like a nice car and pre-children drove a purple Audi TT. I’d love to own one again.

Do you have any phobias? Not really, but I hate liquorice and celery.

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? That people who don’t work aren’t allowed to go shopping when those of us who do are trying to buy a quick sandwich at lunchtime!

What luxury would you have on a desert island? My three kids, a bottle of Prosecco and some salt & vinegar square crisps.

What animal most reflects your personality? Tiger cub. Soft on the outside but I am determined.

What’s your favourite film and why? Mamma Mia makes me smile and I love the music.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Sending someone a text that was about them, but not meant for them.

Which celebrity would you most like to work with and why? David Beckham as I’m sure he would love our new men’s range and it would be great to see if he looks that good in real life!
