Cawston Press has announced the appointments of Frank Bartlett as UK sales director and Andrew Farrell as head of grocery.

Bartlett was most recently sales director at Metcalfe’s Popcorn and has previously worked at WeightWatchers, AB World Foods and Allied Bakeries.

Farrell joins from his position as soft drinks buyer at Tesco and will head Cawston Press’s UK grocery and wholesale sales team.

Cawston Press has doubled sales in the past two years and is expected to achieve retail sales of £30m in 2017.

Bartlett fills the vacancy created by Dan Broughton, who left last May to become MD of Dalston Cola Company. Farrell’s role is a newly created position.

“We are thrilled that Frank and Andrew are joining our team,” said MD Steve Kearns. “The trade and consumer appetite for better quality soft drinks continues to accelerate, and Frank and Andrew’s experience will be invaluable as we enter the next phase of growth.”

Kearns joined from Unilever last January, where he worked for 15 years across a range of units. His experience spans major Unilever brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Pot Noodle, Persil and Lynx.
