Cider supplier Aston Manor has named former Magners GB boss Gordon Johncox as its new managing director.
Johncox, who has been sales and marketing director at Aston Manor since 2011, takes over from Peter Ellis, who will stay on as executive chairman. The responsibility for day-to-day operations will be shared between Johncox and financial director James Ellis, son of the outgoing MD.
Johncox has 25 years’ experience in the drinks industry, including time at Scottish & Newcastle and two years as Magners GB managing director.
“Our growth means we are now a business of real scale,” said Peter Ellis. “To run that effectively and plot our future development requires experienced and talented people – with Gordon and James and the team they have put together I am confident we have that.”
Glen Friel has replaced Johncox as sales and marketing director.
