A museum in Germany is launching an exhibition called ‘I love Aldi’.

Heavily influenced by the Pop Art movement, the exhibition will use both paintings and installations to examine the German discounter’s design, packaging and branding and explore their relationship with the art world.

“We think the principle of discount is interesting as a social phenomenon,” said a spokeswoman for the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen. “The exhibition will analyse the aspects of the topic from various perspectives.”
