The price of Baileys has dropped again to a price even lower than last Christmas, reaching an all-time low in the annual drinks discounting war.
The cream liqueur brand has this week dropped by a further 2p in Tesco to just £9.84 per litre, compared with the lowest price recorded in the Grocer’s annual Christmas Pricewatch last year of £9.88.
Meanwhile, shoppers in Somerfield would have paid £16.99 a litre on the same day. Just two weeks ago in Pricewatch - covering four leading alcoholic drinks brands - our shopper found that Baileys had dropped below the £10 per litre mark one week earlier than it did last year to £9.86 per litre - 2p lower than last year.
In Tesco this week our shopper reported that the 2p drop to the all-time low price of £9.84 per litre was strongly advertised around the fixture and on banners in the car park to alert consumers.
