Clarence, the slightly creepy polar bear, has been back in action for Birds Eye this year with - among other things - an ad for the brand’s rice-and-veg mixes. “Looking for something tasty?” he asks, impressively treading the thin line between flirt and threat. He’s still an entertaining mascot, but could the fact Clarence dons spectacles this time round be seen as a sign he is starting to show his age?
