Badly maintained: Rome, yesterday

Brand-building has its downsides. Roman mayor Virginia Raggi recently used a can of Coca-Cola, pulled from a storm drain, as “a symbol of neglect and total absence of maintenance” in the city. Ouch!

Seems a bit strong – but an on-pack promo revealed the can was from the year 2000 – so, presumably, Raggi can lay the blame at the door of then-mayor Francesco Rutelli. Thanks Coke!
