Steve's leaves

Vitacress-owned baby leaf salad brand Steve’s Leaves has expanded its range with the unveiling of four new products in bowl and bagged formats.

Aimed at those ‘on the go’, the bowls (rsp: £2.39/135g) started rolling out into Waitrose stores and with Ocado last week, and include a Perfect Ploughman’s Salad, which includes a combination of red frilly mustard leaves, green batavia, crimson chard, mizuna leaves and Cheddar chunks, with pearl onions, mini gherkin, rustic crackers, and a pickle dressing.

The brand’s Terrific Thai Salad bowl includes a mix of coconut shavings, dried mango pieces, carrot sticks, salad leaves and a chilli and lemongrass dressing, while 60g bags of red frilly mustard & tender leaves, and confetti coriander & mild leaves have also been listed by the retailers (rsp:£1.40).

“Today’s consumers are interested in exploring new flavours and exciting products,” said Steve’s Leaves brand manager Emily Dow.

“It is for this reason that Steve’s Leaves is always working on discovering innovative baby salad leaves,” she added. ”We have already successfully introduced to the market a range of salad leaves, which include baby watercress, pea shoots and fennel tops, and are delighted to add mild confetti coriander and the colourful red frilly mustard to this list.”
