Celebrity chef Brian Turner has lent his name to a new range of sandwiches for independents.
Turner is known for his no-nonsense approach to food and the sandwiches are based on traditional English recipes. Varieties include BLT, egg mayonnaise & salad cream, cheese & onion, smoked ham, cheese & pickle, tuna & sweetcorn, chicken salad, and cheese ploughmans.
They are available through Kerry Foods Direct to Store and have just won a listing in Superdrug stores.
“The range has been designed to focus on quality at affordable prices using ingredients that offer improved tastes rather than a gimmick,” said Turner.
Bhasker Dhir, a director at Moving Foods, which owns the licence for the sandwiches, said: “We have created a range that is sold at a sensible price, but which uses better ingredients.”
The sandwiches are priced from £1.79 to £2.49.
