The Co-operative Group has taken its in-store bakery offer in-house. It has launched a 57-strong range of products including bread, rolls, pastries and cakes across its 1,483 in-store bakeries, as well as a further 433 Co-op stores run by smaller societies. In-store bakeries were previously supplied by Cuisine de France but had been taken in-house to reflect the ‘good with food’ message, said category buyer for bakery Ian Kevitt. Meanwhile, the society has revealed its Christmas That’s the Spirit campaign, with executions including ‘carrots for Rudolph’.
