The Co-op is offering reduced prices on certain wines until 3 December to encourage consumers to buy into the lesser known regions and varieties.
Its white wine of the month is the Co-op Orvieto Classico 2005 from Italy, priced from £3.99 to £2,99, and its red is the Graffigna Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina, from £4.49 to £2.99.
It has also reduced prices on a selection of Champagne and sparkling wines. Its Fizz of the Month is the Beringer Sparkling White Zinfandel from the US, down from £6.49 to £4.99. Jacquart Rose Champagne and Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne are also reduced.
