Della Vite, the prosecco brand launched by Chloe, Poppy and Cara Delevingne, has expanded its range with a new “everyday drinking” prosecco and ready-to-drink mimosa spritz.
DV by Della Vite DOC Prosecco would target “the gap in the market for quality brand-led prosecco that offers an upgrade from entry-level options,” according to the brand.
It was developed in partnership with Master of Wine Sarah Abbott and offered “fresh, light and easy-drinking style with aromas of red apple, white pear and delicate floral notes”.
The wine will roll out nationwide across 440 Sainsbury’s stores from next month (rsp: £15/75cl).
“Prosecco is often bought by category rather than by brand,” said Numa Heathcote, co-founder and CEO of Della Vite. “We see a real opportunity to change that by giving people a bottle they actively seek out, at a price that works for everyday occasions.”
Meanwhile, a new RTD Mimosa Spritz joins a five-strong portfolio of Italian-inspired cocktails from Della Vite. Made with Sicilian blood oranges and prosecco from the Della Vite winery, it will launch via DTC and on Amazon in December (rsp: £32/8x200ml).
The launch coincides with wider retail listings for Della Vite’s Hugo, Bellini and Sicilian Lemon spritzes across Morrisons and WH Smith stores.
“The response to our spritz range has reinforced the appetite for quality, Italian-inspired cocktails in a convenient format,” said Heathcote. “The new Mimosa Spritz builds on that momentum, alongside expanded listings with Morrisons and WH Smith.
“Together, the launch and wider distribution is an exciting new chapter for the range, providing us with a strong platform to introduce new people to the range.”
A joint venture between sisters Chloe, Poppy and Cara Delevingne, Della Vite produces vegan-certified prosecco in the region of Valdobbiadene, northern Italy.
The brand was founded in 2020 and is stocked in Sainsbury’s and on Ocado.
