Lidl’s scan & shop system works perfectly… I can’t believe it!

This is a discounter, with tighter margins to protect than Tesco, Sainsbury’s or Waitrose – and that’s what makes the experience so incongruous
I’ve followed Lidl’s development of scan & shop for years, from its secretive launch of a beta app of 2021 to the arrival of the service in my local store.
