David Lattimore, managing director for specialist businesses at Dairy Crest, is to retire on February 6. He was responsible for building relationships with direct suppliers.
Graham Osborne, direct supply director, will take responsibility for relations with direct suppliers from Lattimore, reporting to Mike Sheldon, managing director for milk purchasing and ingredients.
Lattimore has worked in the dairy industry for 32 years, starting at Unigate, where he held several senior management positions. He joined the senior management team at Dairy Crest when it acquired Unigate in 2000 and has played a leading role in growing Dairy Crest’s supply base since then. He has also been involved in negotiations over milk supply and contract issues.
Lattimore is also chairman of the European Dairy Association Liquid Milk Group and a member of the Milk Development Council.
Dairy Crest said: “Lattimore is well known and respected throughout the industry. He will be greatly missed by colleagues, farmers and customers.”
