The sites of the stores Midcounties Co-operative Society has been ordered to sell to avoid competition concerns after acquiring Harry Tuffins have been revealed.

Tuffins’ newest stores - both former Somerfields in Lydney and Coleford, in Gloucestershire - and stores in Bishop’s Castle and Craven Arms, both in Shropshire, must be sold, the OFT said.

Midcounties acquired the 10-store indie in April this year for an undisclosed sum.
