Tesco has signed an exclusive partnership deal with recent Dragons' Den star Carol Savage and her recipe website MyDish.co.uk.

The supermarket has linked its online shopping site to the MyDish site so the latter's users can click a new 'add to shopping basket' function and buy the ingredients featured in recipes from Tesco.com.

Tesco has also created a link to MyDish on the recipe page of its Real Food microsite. "We're really excited about working with MyDish and to support this new and exciting British business," said Laura Wade-Gery, chief executive of Tesco.com and Direct.

MyDish.co.uk founder Carol Savage designed the website to create an online community for food lovers. It allows users to share recipes and cooking ideas. "After years of hard work this is major achievement," Savage said.

In August last year, Savage became the first Dragons' Den contestant to be offered double the amount of money she pitched for from the panel of judges and ended up with a £100,000 investment deal from celebrity entrepreneur Deborah Meaden.

Meaden said: "I decided to  invest in MyDish because I saw a winning combination of a great concept  and a genuinely passionate individual."
