Kelly’s of Cornwall has got it licked. The R&R-owned clotted ice cream brand achieved the strongest growth of the top 10 biggest ice cream brands last year, with value sales up 27.9% to £26.5m on volumes up 23.2% [SymphonyIRI 52 w/e 8 December 2012]. With a new raspberry ripple flavour hitting shelves this month to celebrate National Berry Month in July, R&R is spending £2m on a TV ad campaign for the brand in 2013. The ad will first air on May 20 ahead of the May Bank Holiday and will run throughout the summer.
