One of the largest bakeries in the Irish Republic, and the main supplier of Dunnes Stores own label bread, is to shut.
The closure of Neville Brothers, based in Macroom, Co Cork, means the loss of 50 jobs. The company blamed the shutdown on spiralling insurance costs, which are a major source of concern to all Irish businesses, plus the high price of fuel and transport. Margins in Ireland's own label bread had also been been "extremely tight".
