Crediton said the Arctic range saw a 109% increase in value sales in the 12 weeks to 18 April

Crediton Dairy has expanded its Arctic Iced coffee range with a “category first” White Chocolatte flavour.

The drink features a blend of fresh Devonshire milk and Rainforest Alliance certified Arabica coffee beans combined with white chocolate.

Described by Crediton as “deliciously sweet and moreish”, it will go on sale in Tesco stores nationwide from 5 July (rsp: £1/330ml carton.

“Ready-to-drink iced coffee continues to be the fastest growing and most exciting part of the dairy category as consumers seek more refreshing and more natural alternatives to carbonated drinks,” said Arctic Iced coffee brand manager Jo Taylor.

“As the category grows we are also seeing consumers wanting both to broaden their iced coffee repertoire as well as enjoy their favourite indulgent and creative caffeine fixes, usually only available in the coffee shops, wherever and whenever they like.”

The brand’s new variant was a response to these emerging trends, she added.

“With its carefully blended combination of, Arabica coffee beans and white chocolate, White Chocolatte is a UK-category first and is the perfect chilled drink for those looking for a deliciously sweet and incredibly moreish caffeine fix.”

The Arctic brand is the UK’s third largest iced coffee brand behind Starbucks and Emmi, and enjoyed 109% value and 64% year-on-year unit sales growth in the 12 weeks to 18 April [IRI].
