Müller has introduced the first yellow fruit variant to its Müller Rice portfolio in a bid to capitalise on the growing popularity of flavours such as pineapple, mango and peach.

Müller Rice Pineapple and Caramelised Sugar started rolling into stores this week, as a limited edition, replacing Müller’s Toffee apple.

Yellow fruits currently accounted for 27% of chilled yoghurt and pot dessert sales [Nielsen Scantrack GB volume 52w/e 18 February 2012] and was a sector in growth, said Müller dairy marketing director Michael Inpong.

Müller wanted a flavour that “delivered something different and special during the summer months,” he added.
