GSK is hoping to score with the launch of two limited-edition Lucozade drinks inspired by the 2014 Fifa World Cup.

As part of a £12m brand-wide push, Lucozade Energy will feature The Brazilian, a mango & mandarin flavour, from 20 December in 380ml price-marked packs and 500ml packs while Brazilian Guava is being added to Lucozade Sport from 6 January in 500ml standard and PMPs and a 500ml four-pack.

“During a World Cup year we see huge growth in TV viewing figures and sporting participation, presenting an opportunity for retailers to capitalise on this NPD,” said Lucozade brand development director Dave Stratton.
