What’s your story? “Fowlers are the oldest cheesemaking family business in England - I’m the 14th generation of cheesemakers in the family, which dates from 1670 in the Staffordshire moorlands,” says cheesemaker Adrian Fowler. “Our family moved to Warwickshire in 1918, and we have been developing cheeses in keeping with the times as the years have gone by, still using the same skills and care handed down through the generations.”

Why is your cheese a regional gem? “Our Forest Blue has a firm, creamy texture and a soft rind, and it’s matured in our purpose-built 100-year-old cellars. I make it all by hand, and we sell it in local outlets and to star chefs.”

The Grocer says: A really unusual blue, which prompted comparisons with Dolcelatte when samples arrived. Rich, creamy and very indulgent, it’s a mild blue with great family appeal and tremendous cheesemaking heritage behind it.”
