Britvic is bringing its six-month-old kids’ milk and juice drink Freekee Soda under the Tango banner and reducing the 330ml price from 62p to 55p, with an initial promotion of 49p.

n The move comes after the threat of a legal challenge over the name, believed to be from Spanish candy manufacturer Key Enterprises. However, it also presents an opportunity to rebrand a product that is struggling, according to industry insiders.

n Britvic, which is adding £5m to the brand’s marketing budget, said the products were currently outperforming several well-established children’s drink brands.
