ABP Food Group has struck a partnership with genetics company Genus to improve beef genetics and meat quality.

Genus will develop a “proprietary custom index” for beef bulls, which the companies said would result in “superior genetics” coming into ABP. “This will create a more sustainable beef supply chain generating value through improved feed to weight gain efficiencies, carcass values and better quality product for the consumer,” they said.
