DAIRY CREST MILK

Dairy Crest has completed the sale of its milk-delivery business in the North West

Dairy Crest today announced the sale of its depot-based milk-delivery business in the North West to Creamline Dairies has been completed.

The £1.15m deal was first announced earlier this month. Dairy Crest said the sale would reduce its exposure to the middle-ground milk market.

CEO Mark Allen said: “We reported at our AGM earlier this month that the profitability of our dairies business continues to improve towards our 3% medium-term target. The sale of our North West depot-based delivery business is another step on this journey.”

Eccles-based Creamline Dairies intends to sell on parts of the Dairy Crest delivery business it has acquired to Morton Dairies.
