Eggs are traditionally associated with Easter rather than Christmas but The Happy Egg Co is hoping to change that by trialling limited-edition packs of white shell eggs, named Snowy Whites.

The eggs, launched by Noble Foods, differ from standard free-range Happy Eggs, which typically have a brown shell. Snowy Whites also typically contain larger yolks. Festive-themed cartons will carry a “seasonal depiction” of Happy Egg Co mascot Freda Roam.

They will launch in 96 Tescos in early December (rsp: £2.50 for 10). Standard Happy Egg Co egg packs will also feature a Christmas design, which will go into the big four and The Co-op from 1 December.
