Richard Walker Iceland

Richard Walker, managing director, Iceland 
After qualifying as a chartered surveyor, Richard Walker developed his own property businesses in Poland and the UK. In 2012 he joined the Iceland supermarket business founded by his father Malcolm. During his first year at the business, Walker worked as a full-time shelf stacker and cashier in London before becoming an Iceland store manager. He became MD of The Food Warehouse, Iceland’s chain of larger format stores, in 2015.

Gover brings more than 25 years’ experience in the environment sector to the debate. Nick Brown

Nick Brown, head of sustainability, Coca-Cola Enterprises
As head of sustainability for Coca-Cola European Partners in the UK, Brown leads the company’s work on sustainable packaging, community programmes, water stewardship, energy & climate change and sustainable agriculture. He has also held a number of positions in operational and commercial functions.

 

 

Barry Turner

Barry Turner, director, British Plastics Federation Plastics and Flexible Packaging Group
Turner began his career in the telecoms industry at BT, then moved to the Ford Motor Company and Vickers. For the majority of his career he has held senior appointments, including as a mainboard director of a UK publicly-quoted packaging company and as a mainboard director and part owner of venture capital-backed packaging companies.Turner has also worked as chairman and CEO of trade bodies representing the packaging industry. Just over two years ago he merged the membership of PAFA (the Packaging and Films Association) with the packaging members of the BPF (British Plastics Federation) and became the director responsible for that group.
