The London Tea Company is using the supposed health benefits of age-old tea blends to market Tea Therapy, its latest range. The five-strong range, which have an rsp of £1.99, includes Slim, a blend of white tea, lemongrass, sencha and mate said to aid weight loss, and Digest, a blend of green tea, peppermint, fennel and ginger that it claims helps digestion. The company is seeking listings for the range, which will be presented to the trade this autumn. The other lines are Young, Relax and Detox.
Douwe Egberts The Flavour Collective

Douwe Egberts’ is hoping to attract younger consumers with its first flavoured instant coffee (rsp: £2.99). The three-strong range, in smooth caramel, roasted hazelnut and delicate vanilla, has just two calories per cup. The Sara Lee-owned brand is ploughing £2m into marketing the 50g jars, which hit Sainsbury’s on 13 August.

Weanie Beans Hangover Coffee (rsp: £5) boasts a mix of roasted beans with a higher caffeine content than most. It is part of the artisan coffee company’s summer range of products, which also includes Wake Up Coffee and a self-cleaning Festival Coffee kit, all available from the company’s north London warehouse or website.
Clipper Boutique Single Estate Tea

Clipper’s latest range of speciality teas comes in seven varieties (rsp: £11.99). Three loose leaf teas include Snow Dragon Green Tea from an ancient tea forest in South West China, while the four blends include Earl Grey Ceylon from an estate in Sri Lanka’s highest-growing region. The Wessanen-owned brand is currently negotiating listings.
