The range comprises three blends: Cafetière, Latte and Espresso

Taylors of Harrogate has unveiled a range of coffees designed to “combat coffee confusion”.

The range, called Especially For, features three blends – Latte, Espresso and Cafetière (rsp: £3.79).

The Espresso and Latte blends will launch in both whole bean and ground formats, while the Cafetière blend will launch in ground.

Taylors coffee specialist Rick Tingley said shoppers had said the supermarket coffee aisle could be confusing, with tasting notes, strength levels, roast colours and complex coffee names. He said shoppers “have enough on their plates without having to spend ages navigating supermarket shelves”.

The new range had “the end drink in mind”, he added, and had simple names, with each blend named after the drinks they make.

Cafetière and Espresso blends will hit Waitrose from 8 November, with the Latte blend due to roll out next year.
