Bertolli - Unilever’s Italian olive oil and pasta sauce brand - is expanding and being given a facelift to emphasise its natural ingredients.
New packaging for the Bertolli 500g pasta sauces will be in stores from March, along with a product reformulation across the range, a ‘Best Ever Taste’ flash on pack and a new easy-to-open lid.
A new flavour is also
being added to its Rustico sauces - Olives, Capers & Parsley, which will be available in a 320g jar. Unilever is also ringing the changes with Bertolli’s olive oil range. Delicato is being renamed Olio di Oliva, while new colour-coded labels for the three variants will show how different oils suit different dishes.
Natercia Kubicek, Bertolli business manager, said: “This exciting relaunch shows our continued commitment to establishing Bertolli as the Italian-inspired brand of choice in the UK in both convenience and multiple outlets.”
A £3m advertising spend on TV, press and posters will support the relaunch.
