How’s this for a celebration dance? Manchester brewer JW Lees bared its northern soul down south yesterday to mark its latest listing with Asda.

Lees’ latest brew, Manchester Pale Ale (MPA), began rolling into Asda stores across the North West this month, marking a milestone for the family-owned brewer.

To celebrate, Lees sent a gang of northern lads – MPA’s target drinkers – to shake their tail feathers in a ‘Manc dance’ in London’s Covent Garden.

Of course MPA isn’t just for northerners. “A growing demand for pale ales among a younger audience has enabled us to expand into new markets and create a modern, refreshing and very drinkable beer,” said Lees’ MD William Lees-Jones.
