UB UK has announced more changes to its senior marketing team following the news that McVitie’s UK md Colin Hutchison and sales director Martin Perkin were leaving.

McVitie’s commercial director Gary Biggs will leave the business at the end of the year, having decided not to take a marketing director role.

From September 29, UB marketing director for UK snacks Mandy Ferguson will become marketing director for the whole of the McVitie’s branded portfolio. Claire Hodge, currently business development director for UK snacks marketing, will become UK snacks marketing director for all UB’s UK snack brands.

The senior marketing team will report directly to Will Carter, managing director of UB UK.

The developments follow the decision to merge United Biscuits’ snacks and biscuits operations (The Grocer, September 6, p18).
