Encouraged by booming sales, Coca-Cola has done away with the all-black packaging of its Zero Sugar variant, instead putting a mourner’s band atop its hallowed red labels.

In its TV ad to note the change, a man orders a Coke and is asked: ‘With sugar or without?’. “Either,” he replies. “I just love Coke!” The ad omits the presumably exasperated server’s response, and cuts to a mirror-image montage of Coke-fuelled good times: dancing, skateboarding, snogging etc. Classic Coke is on the left, Zero on the right, but it’s almost impossible to tell the difference! Geddit?

The ad’s soundtrack, meanwhile - a cover of Blondie’s One Way or Another - isn’t as good as the original. But Coke probably doesn’t want us to read anything into that.
