A dejected-looking chap sits alone in an old folks’ home. No, it’s not an Age UK appeal, it’s… the new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar ad.

Meet Mr Hadley. He’s staring glumly at the wall when he is offered a bottle of CCZS, which he’s never had before. Refreshed and wondering “what else haven’t I tried?’ our elderly hero sets off on a series of entertaining adventures: calling an old flame, getting a tattoo, crowdsurfing at a festival and so on.

If all this seems familiar, it’s because it’s a remake of a red Coke ad from 12 years ago - with the same actor as Mr H (though it’s English accents this time, not American). This novelty is fun, but more importantly the concept still works - and the Queen soundtrack is spot-on, too.
