Quorn will work with the club’s nutrition team to provide more protein options for players

Quorn has partnered with Liverpool Football Club to become its official sustainable protein partner.

The brand will provide vegetarian and vegan food options for supporters on matchdays, as well as working with the Premier League club’s nutrition team to extend the choice of protein for players and staff.

The tie-up was “one of the biggest sports partnerships we have ever undertaken” said Quorn commercial director Phil Watson. It would “play a pivotal role in delivering our mission to provide food that is healthy for our families and the planet”.

Quorn would reach “tens of thousands” of supporters at every home game, as well as a global audience from televised matches, he added. This would result in “record awareness” for the brand.

The partnership is part of Liverpool FC’s ‘Reds Go Green’ initiative, which aims to improve the club’s environmental impact. It includes taking steps towards eliminating single-use plastic and reducing carbon footprint through sustainable waste management.
