A C4 documentary on veal featuring celebrity farmer Jimmy Doherty has been delayed to June after originally being scheduled for April.

A C4 spokeswoman said there was “no particular reason” for the delay. The veal programme - part of a wider exploration of producing cheap, higher-welfare meats - had set the dairy industry on edge after it emerged that producers were planning to feature footage of a male dairy calf being shot.
