Investment firm S-Ventures has expanded its wellness brand portfolio with the acquisition of German free-from food brand Lizza.

The deal for the pasta and bread supplier is part of a wider tie-up with Lizza’s former owner Peter Cremer Holding.

Agriculture group Cremer has bought £2m shares in S-Ventures. The Lizza acquisition is for a nominal sum, with earn-out provisions that could be worth up to €2.4m for Cremer.

The acquisition, with revenues of €4.5m, will come under its existing plant-based nutrition company Pulsin, bought last year.
