Mini Cheddars is exploiting the affinity of cheese and pickle to bring out an extra flavour.
Mini Cheddars Branston Pickle is being released in 50g packs with a standard rsp of 37p, as well as in seven packs at £1.35 and within variety packs.
Manufacturer United Biscuits UK (UBUK) has teamed up with Premier Foods’ Branston Pickle to develop the flavour.
“As cheese is a core essence of Mini Cheddars, it was a
natural choice to bring these two stalwart brands together,” said UBUK. The company said twinning household brands had been a successful move, with its Peperami variant adding 146,000 new buyers to Mini Cheddars.
The brand is also refreshing its Smokey BBQ flavour to give it a broader family appeal, and is renaming it Saucy BBQ.
The Crinkly’s version is to get a revamped pack design featuring the new McVitie’s logo, while the UBUK 123 back-of-pack health initiative is being introduced across the range from this month to bring it in line with the Mini Cheddars parent brand.
