Jon Moramarco is the new CEO for Constellation Europe. He joins the drinks group from Constellation Brands’ fine wine business, Icon Estates, where he has been president and CEO since December 2003.
He replaces Christopher Carson who is retiring.
Prior to Icon Estates, Moramarco was president and CEO of the Canandaigua Wine Company. He is currently on the board of directors for the Wine Institute, Wine Market Council and Winegrowers of Napa County and is a former chairman of the American Vintners Association and Wine Market Council.
A spokeswoman for Constellation Europe said that in his new role Moramarco would take responsibility for Constellation’s European operations, including the UK.
Rob Sands, Constellation Brands’ president and COO, added: “Jon brings a wealth of experience and knowledge as we continue to implement our international growth strategy.”
