Morrisons is the only major multiple to have increased its market share over the last three months, according the latest till roll data from TNS.

For the 12 weeks to November 10, Morrisons edged up 0.1% to 6.4% to remain in fifth spot, while Tesco slipped 0.2% to 26.8% but remains the UK’s leading grocer.

The only other positive movement came from discounter Aldi up 0.1% to 2.3% and ‘other multiples’ with a rise of 0.1% to 0.3%.

Asda and Sainsbury both slipped by 0.1% to hang on to second and third place, while takeover target Safeway and the Somerfield group were static at 9.2% and 5.6% respectively.
