Former Nisa CEO Nick Read has been appointed group chief executive at independent energy supplier Extra Energy.
Read replaces founder Moti Ben-Moshe, who is taking up a new role as executive chairman, focusing on product innovation, improving services and developing new opportunities for the Extra Group, as well as his other business interests.
Read will have day to day responsibility for the full group across the UK, Germany and Cyprus.
“I will ensure customers are at the heart of our offer and that we strive to constantly measure and improve the customer experience,” he said. “We need to work with all our stakeholders as we seek to address the challenges facing Extra Energy and the wider industry.”
Ben-Moshe added: “His track record in enhancing customer experience, driving consistency and delivering significant change at large, regulated organisations will enable the group to realise its true potential.”
Read stepped down from Nisa in October after three turbulent years, during which he led a successful turnaround despite a sometimes difficult relationship with Nisa members.
