Mr Kipling is gearing up for summer by adding new strawberry-flavoured cakes to its French Fancies and Slices ranges.
The Strawberry Slices and Strawberry French Fancies contain pieces and extract of real strawberries and will be available from next month.
The cakes would be ideal for outdoor summer occasions, said Matt Hunt, head of cake at brand owner Premier Foods. "They are perfect for picnics and will allow retailers to capitalise on the cake sales opportunity the summer presents," he said.
