What was your first job? Working with my uncle every Saturday as part of his grounds contract at Colman’s.

What was the first music single you bought? It might be a little odd, but it was a song called Mr Food by Steve Wright.

How do you describe your job to your mates? I usually just say I invent crisp flavours and spend most of my time eating crisps. They think it’s the dream job.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? Launching a new product that everyone goes crazy for. It’s great to see something you have taken so long to create so loved.

What is the least rewarding part? It’s always a little sad when limited-edition ranges come to their end. Our Truffled Cheese and a Splash of Sparkling Wine flavour was one of my favourites. Luckily for me it’s not limited - I have the recipe.

What is your motto in life? A motto I have carried with me through my career is ‘would you be happy with that?’ I would never produce anything unless I would be 100% happy eating it myself.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? I have a couple. The first would be being allowed to bring a dog into work. The second would be a company ski chalet - maybe I could take the dog too.

Do you have any phobias? No, but I do get epic FOMO.

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? I would bring back more seasonal, fresh produce.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? Can I have a boat? I wouldn’t use it to escape, I promise, but one of my hobbies is sailing.

What animal reflects your personality? A black Labrador. I just love lounging around Labrador-style and am easily motivated by food.

What’s your favourite film? It’s one of my childhood classics - Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? I think it might have to be the amount I cried on my wedding day.

Which celebrity would you most like to work with? I would really like to work with James Martin. We have similar interests in cars, as well as food.

What would your death row meal be? A British Indian takeaway.
