Double dutch

What was your first job? My first real job was as a real estate agent in Belgium.

What’s been your worst job interview? As we started Double Dutch straight out of university, I have been very lucky to not have to endure too many gruelling interview processes.

How do you describe your job to your mates? The best job in the world! Double Dutch has taken myself and my sister all over the world.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? When we see people out drinking Double Dutch, posting about it on social media or popping a bottle into their shopping trolley, I find myself filled with a sense of pride.

What is the least rewarding part? As Double Dutch is still a relatively small company we don’t always have too much time for ourselves.

What is your motto in life? Passion is the most important asset you will have – it is what drives me.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? I think I’ve already found it with Double Dutch – I work in an industry that’s very social, takes me on incredible trips and to amazing bars in beautiful locations. The drinks business is a really interesting place to be right now and getting to share it with my twin sister is even better!

Do you have any phobias? I am very afraid of heights!

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? The food industry has been forced to be more explicit with its labelling over the past few years, but when it comes to the drinks industry, I think we are falling behind. It’s harder to find out whether a spirit or mixer is sustainably sourced or suitable for vegans and we should be doing more to change this.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? My laptop.

What animal reflects your personality? Maybe a dog? I love entertaining, I’m always excited and generally a happy and smiley person.

What’s your favourite film and why? The Wolf of Wall Street – I can’t help but love Leonardo DiCaprio.

What would your death row meal be? Dim sum – specifically har gau (shrimp dumplings) or xiaolongbao (broth-filled pork dumplings).
