Favourable growing conditions have led to 'excellent' quality Namibian grapes reaching the UK this week, according to Capespan.

Namibian red seedless grapes are being used to supplement South African supply, where poor weather has delayed the harvest.

Most Namibian grapes come from the Aussenkehr region, which serves the Cape Town export hub.

"Capespan recognised the Namibian potential at an early stage and has supported the development of the grape industry, both as technical adviser and with direct involvement ," said Capespan MD Ronan Lennon.
